Although it is named the Port Stephens – Great Lakes Marine Park, this incredible stretch of coastline extends far beyond the towns shores, taking in a staggering 98 000 hectares from its northern tip at Cape Hawke down to Stockton Beach. Thanks to its natural beauty and activities, it has become a must-see attraction in the region.
The marine park was established in 2005, and has since developed into a stunning habitat full of diverse wildlife thanks to its rich variety of ecosystems.
